This was probably my favorite song when I was 5 or 6. And seriously people, I really really just want to have fun. Cyndi was my style icon at that age. I'm thinking about just putting on my shades and a poufy skirt and skipping around the city. What else are you gonna do in a recession?
I am reading Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers and totally enthralled and inspired. Robert Oppenheimer is mentioned in it which reminded me of Doctor Atomic the opera by John Adams. I saw this performance at Brooklyn Academy of Music's live transmission of The Met's performance in HD last fall and I loooooved it. Here's one of my favorite parts:
On Saturday morning I woke up at 6:15am! (By now you should know that I'm not a morning person.) Instead of lolling around as I thought I might I got up and took free Sunshine Yoga at Lululemon in Union Square, skipped over the Jeffrey's for a little window drooling over the Christian Louboutin fall 09 booties and went to $6.00, A.M Matinee of (500) Days of Summer. The critics are on point. This film is incredible. One of the few arty films that actually leaves you feeling hopeful. I loved it!!!!
